The Wasp Room

The Wasp Room is an artist-led gallery, dedicated to exhibiting contemporary art produced by national and international practitioners. Launched in December 2008, the Wasp Room is run by Tether artists Liam Aitken, Hugh Dichmont, Benjamin Hargrave and Samuel Mercer. Based on the periphery of the Nottingham city centre and St. Anns estate, the Wasp Room seeks to make a sustainable impact on arts engagement in the East Midlands; introducing new audiences to Nottingham's burgeoning independent cultural scene, whilst presenting the wider public with a variety of distinctive events.

The gallery acts as an intimate venue for commissioned artists to take new directions in their practices, to produce new work and undertake residency-based projects, as well as many one-off performances, screenings and events throughout the year.
