Backlit

Backlit was formed by a group of Nottingham Trent University graduates in 2008. The factory on Dayekene Street in Sneinton is home to a series of artist studios and gallery spaces, and was previously the home of Stand Assembly. Backlit promote experimental work and support the cross-pollination of artistic practices.

Backlit describe themselves as champions of the new:

We are a laboratory for the unformed idea; dedicated to experimentation both visual, theoretical and critical.
