Patrick Brill's alter ego BOB AND ROBERTA SMITH will create a closing party for the eight week fringe festival; Tate gallery regular will play with The Ken Ardley Playboys in an evening of performance. Starting with a performance of FOUND IN TRANSLATION (seen at Port Elliott Fest. 09) by poets Joe Dunthorne, Ross Sutherland and Tim Clare a poetry show inspired by a meeting with the illusive French writing movement OULIPO.
“Part literary lecture, part multimedia performance…with a dose of cutting edge satire.” Combining stand-up comedy, poetry and animation. Joe Dunthorne, one of the Faber New Poets, his debut novel Submarine is a soon to be film starring Paddy Considine. Ross Sutherland has Won Time Out’s Critic’s Choice of the Year for the 2005 theatre production of Aisle 16’s Poetry Boyband, and was included in the Times Top Ten literary stars of 2008. Tim Clare, presenter of Channel 4’s ‘How To Get A Book Deal’ and author of We Can’t All Be Astronauts. Individually they have been published in The Guardian, The Independent, Financial Times, The Sunday Times, Vice, NME and Poetry Review.
