Sherwood Art Week 2010

Sherwood Art Week (SAW) 2010 – Bigger and better than ever!

Various venues in and around Sherwood, Nottingham – June 19th to June 26th 2010

Sherwood Art Week is Sherwood’s ever popular Arts Festival, and SAW10 looks set to be the biggest and best yet.

In keeping with the bigger and better Sherwood Art Week and the spirit of this being a community initiative, the event dubbed as "Art for Everyone", organisers are calling on all the residents of Sherwood to participate.

"Last year we turned Mansfield Road into an art gallery for a week, this year we want to turn the whole of Sherwood into an art gallery" - Julian Phillips, Sherwood Art Week team

The local community can download the SAW logo from the website or use the flyer in their next copy of NG5 magazine, and from June 19th, put it in their window along with a piece of their own original artwork - be it from children or adults and whether old or new - to create a show of community creativity.. Photographs of the publics art-in-windows will then be displayed on the website by sending to info@sherwoodartweek.co.uk

SAW10 has something for everyone – a live music festival, fun family activities, concerts, films, dance, readings and over 60 art displays in venues throughout Sherwood.
