Wirksworth Festival: Call for proposals

Applications are now open for this years festival. In 2010 our opening Trails Weekend attracted over 4000 visitors, with almost £35,000 of artist sales.

Wirksworth offers artists the chance to exhibit in an amazing range of venues; from cosy cottages to majestic churches, historic buildings to wonderful rural landscapes.

Last year over 170 artists exhibited during the Festival, the single biggest gathering of visual artists in the region we believe,  so it's a great time to socialize, network and debate.

There are lots of new improvements for 2011 including increased profile on the Festival website for all exhibiting artists plus small bursaries for outstanding applicants to the Trails.

There are 2  strands to our Visual Arts Programme:
Trails Weekend Applications - including the 'Art and Architecture Trail' and 'Designer Makers'
Curated Programme Applications - including Artist Film and Video
