Backlit open show 2010 – call for submissions

Backlit champions experimental works of all disciplines and will be selecting approximately 15 – 20 works for the upcoming exhibition which will take place across Backlit’s five exhibition spaces.

The selection panel will be looking for artworks which challenge the notions of contemporary art, push boundaries and take risks.

Applications:

Applications must include:

• Artist’s CV
• Artist’s statement (up to 500 words)
• List of Images including title, date, materials and dimensions
• Up to five images of recent works
• £10 submission fee payable via paypal link on our website or cheque made payable to Backlit.

Applications may be sent via email to info@backlit.org.uk with the subject title ‘Backlit Open Show Application’ or by post to Backlit, The Factory, Dakeyne st, Nottingham, NG3 2AR. The £10 submission fee may be sent via cheque made out to Backlit to the above address or via the paypal link on our website; www.backlit.org.uk.

The deadline for applications is Monday 5th July.

Please note that successful applicants will be responsible for the delivery and collection of exhibited artworks.

The exhibition will run from Friday 5th August until Sunday 22nd of August with a Private View on the evening of Thursday 6th August.
