Wanted in Sheffield: Guest curator and artists submissions
1. Call Out for Guest Curator – Bloc Graduates Show 2010 – August.
Bloc projects would like to invite budding curators to submit proposals to curate our Graduates Exhibition in August.
The exhibition aims to be an experimental platform for recent Graduate artists and an emerging Curator in the North of the region. The exhibition brief for the Guest Curator is to include at least 3 Fine Art graduates from Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield. The successful applicant will take into consideration the nature of the Bloc Projects gallery space.
There is no fee for the Guest Curator, but travel expenses will be paid.

2. Call Out for Submissions – International Bloc Assembly - Correspondence.
We invite artists from Istanbul to propose art works for our first International Bloc Assembly within the context of ‘Correspondence’. You will be working with a Sheffield based artist to produce a piece of work to be exhibited at the event. We are looking for artists who can work collaboratively and who will embrace the experimental nature of the project.
The context of 'Correspondence' is open to interpretation, and can also include literal interpretation in the form of letters, email, Skype, webcam…etc.
The event will take place on Friday 1st of October. You will be introduced to your corresponding artist at the end of August.
All art forms will be considered. There is no artist’s fee, the exhibition will be publicised, open to the public and presented on our website http://blocprojects.co.uk/
