Extended deadline: Artist Studios available at Primary

Primary is the first dedicated, permanent artist studios in Nottingham, to support the development and production of contemporary visual art in the city. Its mission is to operate high quality, secure and affordable studios with associated exhibition and events space, which will support artists and provide an integral public interface.

The building houses a variety of studio spaces with different characteristics and ranging in size from 15-90 m2. The cost of studio rental varies according to each space from £50-300 per month, which includes all services (heating, electricity and Wi-Fi).

Primary is pleased to receive applications from artists working in a range of media and at any stage of their career. Applicants should demonstrate:

An active commitment to an ongoing contemporary art practice An engagement with the wider contemporary art context Clear intentions for the development of their work How a studio space at Primary will benefit their practice A willingness to make an active contribution to artistic culture of Primary
