60 films, 60 artists, 60 seconds…
Digital Broadway has invited motiroti to present their inventive 60x60 secs film programme in the café/bar area at Broadway. motiroti has commissioned established and emerging artists from the South Asian diaspora to present their unique personal perspective on identity and home in an age of globilised culture.
Using a one-minute format, these films range from the comic and abstract to the profound and often provocative; reflecting on the complexities of hybrid cultural identity and the visible and invisible borders of nationhood. Twenty artists from Britain, India and Pakistan have used a range of styles that invite the viewers to consider notions of identity and what it stands for in the 21st Century.
All of the commissioned films will be presented in the café/bar area of Broadway and within the public spaces at New Art Exchange.

Ali Zaidi, Artistic Director of motiroti, will share his favourite films from 60x60 Secs and talk about the project. Learn more about the vision, rationale and aesthetics of the project and gain a real insight from a key voice in contemporary visual arts practice in the UK today.
